Chinese Communist Party’s Scandalous Law Enforcement: The Good Are Attacked While the Bad Run Riot

(Minghui.org)

1. Mr. Mou Lunhui is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Wanzhou District, Chongqing. At 11 p.m. on December 30, 2008, as he was passing Jiuchichang Town on his way home after visiting a friend on some private business, he came across a group of local police officers from the Public Security office of Jiuchichang Town. Zhou Shiyin, Pan Ronghan, and Zhang Shimao were on their way to capture a burglar. Zhou and Pan had persecuted Mr. Mou many times. When they saw him, they gave up the burglar and turned to arrest him. Mr. Mou protested the arrest but was cruelly beaten till he fell unconscious. He was then taken to the Guanyinyan Police Station and later detained for 15 days in the Lijiahe Detention Center. Afterward, he was secretly sent to the Tangfang Forced Labor Camp, which is located in the Wanzhou District. Keeping Mr. Mou’s family uninformed about his arrest, the police then transferred him to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing, after sentencing him to 21 months of forced labor.

What had Mr. Mou done to distract these Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officers, diverting their attention from a burglar to focus on him when they crossed paths? Why is it more important to arrest a Falun Gong practitioner than a burglar? The law in China claims to protect its civilians—with the exception of Falun Gong practitioners. According to the CCP officials, Mr. Mou does not have any civil rights, which led them to make this egregious arrest.

2. Let’s consider another incident that happened in Hebei Province. At about 2:40 a.m. on June 25, 2010, Ms. Han Xinlin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Qinghuangdao City, was walking to her night shift. When she passed by the city’s Jiaoyunli flyover, two villains jumped out at her and tried to assault her. She resolutely resisted and ran away while calling out for help. The villains seized her handbag and found some Falun Gong materials in it. They threatened that they would report her to the police unless she submitted to them, but she refused. The villains then dialed 110 and reported her to the police.

It was not long before two police officers arrived. The villains claimed that they were subordinates of the local gang leader Dazheng. The police understood and hinted at them not to say more for fear that their connections with other villains would be revealed. Ms. Han told the police about the assault, but they simply refused to listen and let the criminals leave. They then arrested Ms. Han and took her to the Jianshe Street Police Station of Qinghuangdao City.

In the station, the officers did not asked her any questions about the assault but interrogated her about practicing Falun Gong. They took her keys and went to ransack her home without a search warrant and without informing her family beforehand. They detained her for more than 10 days in a detention center and then sentenced her to forced labor.

In this incident, the guilty ones, the actual criminals, boldly accused their victim solely for being a Falun Gong practitioner. The police officers and the CCP authorities then sentenced her to forced labor without hesitation, although she did nothing wrong.

3. Who should be held accountable in these instances? The cases below may give us the answer.

At noon on May 26, 2001, the Chengbei Police Station of Jingjiang City, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, rounded up several officers to arrest practitioner Mr. Chen Yanru, but he escaped. During a meeting with the local police, the secretary of the local Political and Legal Committee (PLC) of the CCP, Chen Hangao, claimed, “Putting aside all those trivial cases, homicide, and arson, we will pool all of our police forces to arrest Chen Yanru.” According to reliable sources, they paid 430,000 yuan for the arrest of Mr. Chen.

The PLC organ, which is in charge of China’s police, procuratorate, and courts—but largely stays above the law—plays a central role in the persecution Falun Gong. The irrational decision of the PLC secretary, the resources squandered on arresting innocent Falun Gong practitioners at the expense of ignoring major crimes, and the cruelty with which the CCP treats Falun Gong practitioners can all be traced back to the regime’s instigation and policies. The brutality of the persecution could never have reached this point had it not been for the pressures that were piled, layer by layer, upon all levels of communist officials. Jiang Zemin, who launched this tragic catastrophe, ranked persecution of Falun Gong as a crucial issue related to the survival of the CCP. Thus, the eradication of Falun Gong has become the CCP’s most vital task.

The accounts released by Falun Gong practitioners make up only small part of this cruel persecution. As a matter of fact, cases of good people being arrested while true criminals are released are quite prevalent across China. In a police station in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, a practitioner overhead a police officer taking a call about a thief being caught. The officer said, “No, you should not have arrested that thief.” The person on the other end said, “We have spend a lot of energy catching him. What should we do now?” The officer was quite annoyed and went into a frenzy, “What should you do? Release him! Our leader has said, ‘We only arrest Falun Gong practitioners, hands off everything else.’ Release him!”

Zhang Zhikui, a practitioner from Dazhuangjia Village, Xinzhung Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, resided in Changchun City, Jilin Province, for many years. He was cruelly persecuted for going to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. According to him, “Fifteen days later, I was transferred to Balibu Prison in Changchun City, where all of the prisoners were Falun Gong practitioners. To make space for the practitioners, they released all of the other prisoners.” During that time, about 800 practitioners were held there.

Falun Gong teaches its practitioners to conduct themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their work and everyday life. To eradicate Falun Gong, the CCP releases the criminals who undermine social stability and focuses on arresting Falun Gong practitioners who merely want to be good people. In the history of mankind, has anyone seen such a society, where the good and bad are so totally reversed? The moral corruption of China’s society nowadays is closely related to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.

[Selected Submissions] Blessings Received: The Story of a Husband Who Supports Dafa

May 25, 2012 | By Li Yan, a Dafa practitioner in mainland China

(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. As a child I was introverted and not comfortable socially, and as I grew up I felt that life was tiring and boring. Zhuan Falun changed my whole attitude. Upon reading this book, the goal of life became clear to me.

Even after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, my cultivation in Dafa remained firm. My husband did not try to stop me from practicing Dafa either. However, in June 2001 I was illegally detained for a week because I went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa. After I was released, my husband started to be against my cultivation practice due to fear. In order to reestablish support from him and to help him cause less karma for himself, I decided to have a heart to heart talk with my husband.

It was in November 2001. We talked late into the night for several consecutive nights. I talked about my mother, who used to have high blood pressure and heart disease. She so ill that she would not be able to get out of bed whenever she got upset at something. However, once she started practicing Dafa, she quickly regained her heath. She is almost 70 years old and rides a motorcycle just like a young person. I also told him that Dafa practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I told him how the CCP had fabricated false information in order to persecute Falun Gong. I asked him to watch DVDs on the staged self-immolation and exposed more of the CCP’s lies.

Actually, my husband already knew most of the things I was telling him. However, our long talks deeply moved him. Eventually, he completely understood the truth about this persecution, and he changed his attitude and approved of my cultivation. He also agreed to let me move the equipment I used for making Dafa truth-clarification materials home, as I used to rent a place to make Dafa-related materials. My fellow practitioner and I moved two copiers and a DVD burner home. When my husband saw our large copier, he cried out in surprise, “This is a big one you have here!” He did not say anything else afterwards. Over the following few years, he had always helped us with the printing of Dafa materials.

My husband does not have much education or and he is not very sophisticated. However, he has a very kind heart and is very empathetic; he cries whenever he sees other people cry. When he sees the poor on the street, he’ll empty his pockets even if he had only ten yuan on him. He willingly lends money to friends and family when they need money for emergencies.

The first few years after 1999 was the period that the CCP persecuted Falun Gong most brutally. To protect me from harm, my husband took over the job of going into town to get CDs. During that time, policemen watched the roads closely. My husband smokes and uses vulgar language, so therefore, no one suspected him of being a Falun Gong practitioner. He safely brought home large amounts of CDs every time he went to town. In addition, he once protected non-local fellow practitioners. One time, my husband told me that after he got on the bus to come home one day, several policemen came up to the bus to question the travelers. Two other travelers also had large suitcases; they had kind faces, did not smoke nor talk, and in my husband’s words: “They looked just like one of you.” He then said to the policemen, pointing to the two travelers: “We are together.” The policemen saw that my husband did not look like a Falun Gong practitioner, so thus they did not bother the two travelers.

My husband also bought equipment for our printing center and helped me with transporting Dafa materials.

In September 2003, I was reported to the authorities. The police knocked on my door at 3 o’clock in the morning. I was not home. My husband hastily covered up the machines and hid what needed to be hid. Our balcony was full of empty CD boxes, so he quickly consolidated them and opened the door. My husband used his wisdom to talk to the policemen. They did not find anything and did not look on the balcony either. They took my husband with them to the police station. My husband used the excuse of going to the bathroom to call me and told me to hide for awhile. He likes to joke around so I did not take him seriously. He was anxious and found other excuses to call and text me. I then realized the severity of the situation. The policemen could not find anything against my husband and so he was released. Once he was released, he found a trusted friend and asked him to move all the printing equipment from our house. My fellow practitioners and I found a place to rent and established our printing center again.

In the winter of 2005, a fellow practitioner with whom we had contact was arrested, and our printing center needed to be relocated. However, we’d just finished printing three thousand copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and there was just an elderly fellow practitioner and I. Moving those books, other materials and our equipment would be very difficult. I asked my husband for his help. He immediately borrowed a motorcycle with a trailer attached. The trailer did not even have a door at the back, just a piece of cloth as a curtain. We used this motorcycle and relocated everything that needed to be moved.

My husband had a job involving business affairs. In 2004, he wanted to open his own factory. We took out our savings and borrowed some money and opened a factory that had only a net worth of a few tens of thousands of yuan. At that time, we were short ten thousand yuan, so I asked my fellow practitioners if they could lend us some money. They right away lent money to my husband. My husband was moved. He knew that under the CCP’s persecution, none of my fellow practitioners were doing well economically; however, they lent him the money when he needed help. I remembered after we left a fellow practitioner’s home with the money, my husband rode the motorcycle and shouted through the streets: “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!” He shouted this over and over without any fear.

Nearly nine years have past, and my husband’s net worth has increased from tens of thousand of yuan to over a few hundred million yuan. The change was unimaginable. Only a deity could make such a miracle happen. Several years ago, my husband bought a factory that had gone bankrupt for 10,000,000 yuan. Three years later, just the land itself was worth 70,000,000 yuan. He planed to buy one piece of production line equipment early this year. The market price would be 2,000,000 yuan, yet he bought the exact equipment for only 250,000 yuan through a court auction. The equipment had only been tested and had not been actually used in production. My husband now owns several factories.

Compassionate Master used to say that an ordinary person would be blessed by merely shouting “Falun Dafa is good!” Ordinary people that protect Dafa disciples and support Falun Dafa will be blessed. Through my husband’s experience, I have personally experienced the compassion of Master and Dafa.

My husband has a good understanding, and knows that it is Dafa that helped him with his business. It is because my husband supports his wife who is a Dafa practitioner and supports Dafa, that he is protected and blessed by higher beings.

China Rebuts US Human Rights Report With Its Own Version

This post taken from: NTDTV.com
Category:China
Created: 2012-05-29 11:20 EST

The annual human rights reports released by the United States have triggered strong opposition–in Iran, Syria, Pakistan and Belarus.

That’s according to a news story from China’s state-run China Central Television.

So the US released its annual human rights report last Thursday. And in response, China’s  Information Office of the State Council released its own report specifically about human rights in the United States.

In fact, they’ve been issuing reports like this for more than a decade. It’s called “Human Rights Record of the United States.”

That report points out–without a hint of irony–the US government’s so-called “woeful human rights situation.”

For example, it berates the US for how police have arrested “Occupy Wall Street” protesters–with no mention of how in China, police can detain suspects for up to 37 days before formally arresting them, compared to about 2 days in the US.

The Chinese report cites the US government’s, quote, “strict censoring and control over the press…[and] restriction on the Internet”; but China has one of the most restricted and censored Internets in the world. Human Rights Watch puts China’s Internet Freedom ranking in the world’s worst 5%–along with Syria, Iran, and Belarus by the way. America, while not the best, is still in the top 12%.

It’s also interesting that the Chinese regime considers people’s right to make money as part of human rights–but not freedom of speech.

So why would the Chinese regime issue this report? Well, I’m not sure who they’re trying to convince in the US. But internally it may be significant. The Chinese Communist Party uses reports like these to achieve two things.

The first is to redefine the term human rights. For example, the Chinese regime uses the term to include “economic, social and cultural rights,” but not freedom of speech or religion. It’s like how in George Orwell’s 1984 the Party redefines the word “free” to simply mean the “absence of something” without the meaning of political or personal freedom.

The second reason–and this is probably more significant–is made pretty clear in how they end the report. It says, quote, “the United States’ own tarnished human rights record has made it in no condition, on moral, political or legal basis, to act as the world’s ‘human rights justice.’” Basically, it uses the logic of “you can’t criticize me unless you’re perfect yourself.”

But think about it: If no one could point out problems with others unless they were perfect themselves, could parents ever tell their children to do better than they did? Could any organization or government ever expose problems in oppressive countries? Those regimes that harm their own people could continue–and no one could say anything. Well, under that logic, who even needs freedom of speech?

NTD Reports on Falun Gong’s Persecution Appear in Baidu Search Results

China’s tight internet censorship may be faltering as the Chinese regime’s factional infighting continues. The country’s largest search engine, Baidu, now gives search results including New Tang Dynasty Television reports on the Chinese regime’s persecution of the Falun Gong spiritual practice.

Analysts say these search results are a significant reflection of the power struggle that’s going on within the Communist Party. Both NTD and Falun Gong are considered taboo by the Chinese regime, and internet searches usually either turn up with no results or negative material.

But that appears to be changing. This Chinese NTD report turned up on Baidu with the search term “Beijing Trial of Jiang’s Blood Debt Faction.” It refers to bringing to justice the perpetrators of the 13-year-long persecution of Falun Gong.

A separate search also turned up this NTD report about a recent petition by 300 villagers to free a Falun Gong practitioner. This public petition has reportedly been circulated within senior Communist officials, with some urging a peaceful resolution to the issue.

The persecution of Falun Gong was led by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, and has been carried out by individuals including security czar Zhou Yongkang and disgraced Party official Bo Xilai. Current Chinese leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao have not been directly involved in the persecution. The two factions are currently locked in a power struggle.

China analysts believe these Baidu search results are directly related to the political struggle.

[Wen Zhao, NTD Senior China Analyst]:

“The uncensored period for this report is quite long, it considered to be a very sensitive topic, and the result turned up at a very sensitive time, so it should not be considered a coincidence. It means that within the senior ranks of the Communist Party there are people who want to make breakthroughs on the Falun Gong issue, this is a key factor separating these leaders from that of Zhou Yongkang’s blood debt faction.”

[Xia Xiaoqiang, China Commentator]:

“I think Hu and Wen are both testing public opinion and paving the way for taking down Zhou, and also. Recent events have been clear that Zhou’s downfall is just ahead. For example, Hebei prosecutor sending back the case against the Falun Gong practitioner; Yunnan Communist Party members issuing an open letter to purge Zhou and Baidu recently allow searches on calls to remove the PLAC.”

This is not the first time that sensitive topics have appeared on Baidu since the factional infighting began. Back in March, after Chongqing Police Chief Wang Lijun ran to a U.S. Consulate, reports about his involvement in the organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners could be found using Baidu.

Chinese Scholars Voice Support Falun Gong and ‘the Brave 300’

By Gao Zitan

On May 27, 2012 @ 7:03 pm

The petition signed by 300 hundred from Zhouguantun Village, Botou City, Hebei Province calling for the release of Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiaodong has shaken up China’s top leadership circle. (The Epoch Times)

In early April, in an unprecedented manner, 300 Hebei province households stood up for one of their fellows, a Falun Gong practitioner who had been arrested for his beliefs and tortured. Using their names and identities, knowing they would likely feel the full weight of the Chinese regime on their backs, together they petitioned the authorities for his release. Their act of courage, which marks them ‘the Brave 300,’ has shaken the upper echelons of the Chinese communist party, and prompted intellectuals in China and abroad to add their voices to those of the villagers.

Inspired by the Brave 300, a well known intellectual in mainland China spoke with the Epoch Times on May 25, on condition of anonymity:

“I think the significance [of this event] is it offers an opportunity to solve the ‘Falun Gong issue’ before 18th Congress. Falun Gong is not a cult and should be respected under the concept of freedom of belief,” the intellectual said.

“Even CCP top officials, or internal security people, will say the same thing. We need to give [Falun Gong practitioners] freedom of belief guaranteed by the constitution. Jiang Zemin’s attack on Falun Gong is a mistake. We need to apologize at the national level, and provide them economic compensation,” he said.

Back in 1978, villagers from Xiaogang (a village near Nanjing, China) signed a secret agreement, effectively privatizing village land among themselves, which was at the time a criminal offence. Subsequently, village crop yields and income increased many-fold, and under Deng Xiaoping, the unprecedented agreement marked the beginning of rural land reform in China, and beginning of the end of collectivized farming in the country. The intellectual believes that the Brave 300 petition is comparable in significance to the Xiaogang villagers’ agreement. He said if Chinese authorities don’t solve the issue (of persecution against Falun Gong) at the Communist Party’s 18th Congress, he and other intellectuals would start writing about it to the highest authorities.

“I have prepared for it,” he said.

Zhong Weiguang, a Chinese scholar in Germany who is an expert on contemporary totalitarianism, said that based on the Brave 300 petition: “We can see that Chinese people are fed up with the practices of the communist party.”

While the Brave 300 are unique in using their real names and thumbprints on their petition, Zhong notes that in the past there were a number other petitions supporting Falun Gong practitioners.

“Chinese people already know that Falun Gong is a peaceful cultivation group, and at the same time they believe that ordinary people can create a positive change in society,” he said.

According to Zhong, Zhou Yongkang and the Bloody Hands faction (those responsible directly for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners), are now effectively in the same situation as the ‘Gang of Four,’ the group who organized the Cultural Revolution in China in its latter stages.

Both groups were at the forefront of persecuting the general public. The public hated both groups for it. Ultimately, the ‘Gang of Four’ was purged by Deng Xiaoping, who aligned himself with the will of the people.

When Chongqing’s former top cop, Wang Lijun, fled for his life to the U.S. Consulate in Chengdu on Feb. 6, he set in motion a political storm that has not subsided. The battle behind the scenes turns on what stance officials take toward the persecution of Falun Gong. The faction with bloody hands—the officials former CCP head Jiang Zemin promoted in order to carry out the persecution—is seeking to avoid accountability for their crimes and to continue the campaign. Other officials are refusing any longer to participate in the persecution. Events present a clear choice to the officials and citizens of China, as well as people around the world: either support or oppose the persecution of Falun Gong. History will record the choice each person makes.

A Discussion of “Righteousness” (義)

May 17, 2012 | By Xinhu

(Minghui.org) The Chinese character “righteousness” (義) contains a wide range of meaning in regards to morality. It is also one of the core elements of traditional Chinese culture. When mentioning the character “righteousness,” people might first think of “Romance of the Three Kingdoms,” one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese Literature. Although the novel chronicles the lives of feudal lords during the Three Kingdoms era, the interpretation of “righteousness” is expounded throughout the book. The stories of Zhuge Liang, who exemplified loyalty to the nation and trustworthiness, and the anecdotes of Guan Yu’s sense of justice have exerted tremendous influence for generations.

There is a story called “A Righteous Woman Preventing An Army From Advancement.” During the Spring and Autumn Period, the state of Qi attacked the state of Lu. In order to escape from the Qi army, a woman from the state of Lu was found running in the outskirts of the city. She carried a child in one arm, and dragged another child with her other hand. When a Qi soldier ran after her, she let go of the child in her arm, and kept the child she was holding in her hand. A soldier caught up to her and asked her, “Why did you let go of the child in your arm, and kept the child you held in your other hand?” She replied, “The child I held in my hand is my brother’s son, the child in my arm is my son. I was not able to take both of them, so I let go of my son.” When the general from the Qi army heard her response, he asked, “Which one do you love more, your brother’s son or your own son?” The woman replied, “The love I have for my own child is a selfish kind of love. But I have a sense of righteousness toward my brother’s son. Although it hurts to let go of my own child, keeping my brother’s son is the right thing to do.” The Qi general stopped the attack on Lu. He said, “Even a woman from the state of Lu understands the meaning of righteousness. How can I attack a righteous state like Lu?” He retreated his army and went back to Qi. The woman and her son returned home safely. When the Duke of Lu heard the story, he sent many gifts to the woman and bequested her the name of “Righteous Lady.”

There is an ancient saying, “I want to be both alive and righteous. When I’m unable to keep both, I shall give up my life and be righteous.” “Righteousness” enables one to tell right from wrong, be fair, rational, and moral. It is what keeps the society stable, and what keeps relations amongst people harmonious. However, since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took over China, it has destroyed the 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture, and treated the Chinese people with “treachery” and “infidelity.” It has taught people to fight and strike against each other, and to eliminate spiritual beliefs.

For example, although Peng Dehuai saved Mao Zedong’s life several times, Mao wanted to kill Peng because he criticized Mao at the Lushan Meeting. Pro-democracy activists, Zhang Baijun, Luo Longji, and Chu Anping, and hundreds of thousands of intellectuals who were encouraged by Mao to advise the CCP, were later labeled as “right wing,” and consequently tortured, insulted, and killed. During the Cultural Revolution, people lied, cheated, and betrayed their friends, family, and colleagues to protect themselves in order to survive. “Righteousness” no longer existed and morality declined rapidly.

After the “reform and opening-up policy,” the CCP promoted “money worship.” Without moral constraints, people pursued materialism, which created endless social problems. People came up with ruthless money making schemes and tricks to obtain personal gain.

Mankind has always yearned for goodness. In May 1992, Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) was spread to the secular world. People recognized that the teachings were good. It brought health and wellness to practitioners, and taught people to be good and moral. It spread very quickly in China. In just a few years, practitioners were seen in parks, public plazas, and school playgrounds across the nation. Practitioners talked about being virtuous in life, at work, and in the society. They put others before themselves, and let go of selfishness and the pursuit for personal gain. They were not attached to fame and conducted themselves according to the principles of Dafa.

Millions of people believed in “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and conducted themselves righteously. This became a force that raised people’s morality and conscience, stabilized society, and was a positive thing for any government or nation. Jiang Zemin, the previous head of the CCP, became jealous of Falun Gong’s influence. In 1999, he initiated the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and its practitioners.

The first thing the CCP did was to “expose and criticize.” They forced practitioners to betray their beliefs and to write a guarantee statement promising to quit the practice. If they refused, the CCP would do anything to “ruin their reputation, torture them physically, and bankrupt them financially.” As of today, more than 3,000 practitioners have died as a result of the persecution, hundreds of thousands have been illegally sentenced and sent to forced labor camps, thousands have been taken to mental hospitals and injected with unknown substances, and many practitioners’ organs have been harvested for profit, and their bodies cremated to destroy the evidence.

The CCP also fabricated lies to deceive the world, such as the Tiananmen Square “self-immolation” hoax, the alleged “1,400 deaths from not taking medicine,” “Psychotic Killer Fu Yibin,” etc.

Under the suppressive and life-threatening harsh environment, millions of practitioners chose to do the right thing, to let go of self and uphold righteousness. They are not afraid of the totalitarian regime, and have continued to inform people the truth about Falun Gong for the past thirteen years. They have conducted themselves with compassion and have warned the Chinese people that one day “heaven will eliminate the CCP.” They have encouraged people to quit the CCP and be good people. They have revived the ancient Chinese tradition of being righteous.

“Good always prevails over evil.” Millions of practitioners have persevered and continue to clarify the truth and people are gradually seeing the evil nature of the CCP. More than 115 million Chinese have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and more and more people are supporting Falun Gong.

A Village Official Protects Citizens from Persecution

There is a party secretary who has a high reputation in the local government as well as in his village. When I talked with him about the corruption of the CCP and the dilemma many village officials face, he also felt very pained. Regarding how to handle the issue from upper leadership, he said, “To be a good village official, you have to think carefully and you cannot follow the CCP on the dark road to hell.”

I asked him what he thought about those in the village who practice Falun Gong. He said, “Living in the same village, people are all very close to each other. Why bother them? When the upper leadership inquires, it’s easy to just protect the people who practice Falun Gong and not report them. A party secretary of the neighboring village had a Falun Gong practitioner sentenced to several years in prison. Can you imagine what the villagers think of this party secretary? Besides, the people who practice Falun Gong all have good reputations in our village. Isn’t hurting them the same as doing a bad deed?”

Village Official Protects a Falun Gong Practitioner

In a village, people are very close to each other. Everyone knows about what has happened in each family, what kind of people they are, and who has done bad things, etc. When it comes to protecting Falun Gong practitioners, some village officials indeed show their sense of justice.

The following is a story of a party secretary:

One day, an officer from the local police station asked a village official to take him to a Falun Gong practitioner’s home. At the beginning, the village official didn’t think much about it and got on the road with the police. When they were near the practitioner’s house, the official asked, “What do want to see him for?” The police said, “Just to have a look.” The official said, “Just to have a look? What’s so good to look at? Is it so simple?” The police faltered, “I have to get him to make a statement and provide a signature.” The village official stopped walking and stood there saying, “What statement? What signature? I tell you that he is the best person in our village, and he is a very kind person. I will make the statement on behalf of him. You are not allowed to even enter his door. You can decide what to do about the signature. If you dare to come to my village again to do this kind of deed, don’t blame me for not being polite.” After saying this, the official turned around and left. The police stood there in awkwardness for a long time and finally had to leave too. Ever since then, no one else has come to bother this Falun Gong practitioner.

There is a saying about the state of Qin, “To please the state of Qin with your land is as if trying to extinguish fire with wood. The fire won’t be extinguished until the wood is burned.” It means that as long as you own a square inch of land, the greedy state of Qin will continue to attack your land. The CCP is like the state of Qin. After it took the land from the landlords, and property from the capitalists, it continues to take, little by little, a person’s life and destroy his morality. The CCP will never become good. The only choice for the Chinese people is to quit the CCP, and that is the righteous choice.

Practitioner at New York World Falun Dafa Day Event Shares His Reasons For Attending (Photo)

May 28, 2012 | By Minghui correspondent He Yu

(Minghui.org) Jason Loftus is a practitioner from Toronto. He was one of the more than 7000 Falun Gong practitioners who gathered in New York in mid-May to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, and the 20th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s pubic introduction. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1998, and he experienced the goodness of Dafa before the persecution begun and prior to all the negative propaganda fabricated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He knew from deep within his heart that all the CCP propaganda was not true, and was wrong.

Media worker Jason Loftus

For Jason, the most important change he experienced after he began practicing Falun Gong, was understanding the true meaning of life. This knowledge changed every aspect of his life. It was like waking from sleep and only now really becoming alive.

Jason said, “Through cultivation, instead of getting wrapped up in our own human achievements and our own personal things, we become better people, raise our moral standard, and return to our true selves.”

Why are we here? What is the ultimate objective of being a human being? It becomes very clear and rewarding.

That is why, Jason believes, that in the face of such severe persecution in China, Falun Gong practitioners can courageously validate Falun Dafa and spread the facts without worrying about themselves. When one understands the true meaning of life, one has that confidence.

Jason is honored to have learned Falun Gong and to benefit from it. Jason has been very much involved during the past 13 years in trying to bring people the truth about Falun Gong.

In early February 2002 Jason and another practitioner from the U.S. went to Beijing to protest the persecution on Tiananmen Square and expose the CCP-staged self-immolation.

They held a press conference with the Western Media, and showed them a video-deconstruction of the self-immolation incident, proving that the CCP intentionally set up this event.

This was an important way to spread the facts, because the CCP used this hoax to attack Falun Gong and create hatred among China’s people. The practitioners exposed it.

Then they went to Tiananmen Square to hold the banner worded “Falun Dafa is good.” When the CCP police showed up, they tried to clarify the truth about the CCP-staged self-immolation incident, and expose the lies, but were surrounded, grabbed, and dragged away. When they were arrested they shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” They could see how everyday people were shocked to hear these words.

Jason said that Chinese people actually misunderstand Falun Gong, not because they are bad people, but due to the slanderous propaganda by the CCP. They don’t have an opportunity to know the truth.

He thinks that it is very important to spread the truth and that is why Falun Gong practitioners all these years have persisted in their efforts.

Due to the media being censored by the CCP, the public in China does not know the truth about Falun Gong. Practitioners came to this big event in New York to let people know about the persecution, and the deception created by the CCP.

Because New York is a financial and a media center of the World this event is important in spreading the truth about Falun Gong. This is the reason for all practitioners coming here. They want to clarify the truth about the benefits of Falun Gong.

To Jason the issue of persecution of Falun Gong affects not only China, but the whole world. Because we are all connected, it affects all of us as well. He is concerned about it and wants people to know the truth.

Right now a historic change is taking place in China. Jason believes that in the future those who sided with justice, and practitioners, will realize that they made the right choice. Though everyone is just an individual, it is important for their own futures, to take the right stance.

Jason said, “The persecution of Falun Gong has been carried out by the CCP and is the most horrible persecution in the history of mankind. Falun Gong practitioners are good people, who cultivate to ascend and improve themselves. This is why the persecution of Falun Gong is a stark contrast between good and evil.”

Traditional Chinese values are, “Good will be rewarded with good and evil begets evil returns.”

Practitioners from around the world are not doing this for themselves, but because they are concerned with the fates of other people. They are truly concerned for those who have not yet consciously made the righteous choice.

Looking back, Jason remembers how difficult it was in the beginning to spread the facts about Falun Gong. People in the West simply didn’t know anything about Falun Gong. All the information was coming from only one source, the slanderous lies made by the CCP. It has been difficult for practitioners in this environment to step forward. Stepping forward was difficult, but the right thing to do. It was done unselfishly and for other people. In the face of this persecution people have not only learned about Falun Gong, but the popularity of Falun Gong around the world has also grown.

At 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2012, Ms. Xu was arrested and taken to the Renmin West Street Police Station. She was handcuffed behind her back, forced to sit on an “interrogation chair”, and interrogated for over 12 hours. She was deprived of drinking water, food, and restroom use during the interrogation.

On the same night, at 10:39 p.m., Ms. Xu was taken to a police car by three officers and then to the Chenzhou No. 1 People’s Hospital at 11:15 p.m. The doctor examined Ms. Xu and confirmed that she had already died. It’s not known what had happened and how she died. Ms. Xu’s body is being stored in the freezer at a mortuary, with her eyes half closed.

Two days later, on May 18, 2012, the police department notified Ms. Xu’s ex-husband about her death. Ms. Xu’s mother, 87, full of grief and anger, declared that they will bring the murderer to justice. The family hired an attorney from out of town and was going to take a medical examiner to perform a judicial identification.

Ms. Xu had been arrested and detained, and had had her home ransacked several times just for practicing Falun Gong. Her husband divorced her under the pressure. Her 20-year-old son is in college out of town. Ms. Xu lived alone.

One month ago, Ms. Xu told her friend that she was being followed and monitored. The followers were normally personnel from the National Security Team, the police department, the residential committee, and the Comprehensive Management Office at her work. They are controlled and operated by the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee and 610 Office of Chenzhou City.

Persecuted Many Times

In 2000, Ms. Xu was arrested, detained, and extorted by the Chenzhou Police Department for clarifying the truth to the government. In 2001, she was detained and subjected to brainwashing at a brainwashing center located at the Beihu District Party School. In March 2005, the Chenzhou Cigarette Factory cooperated with the 610 Office, and attempted to send Ms. Xu to a brainwashing center. Ms. Xu left home and work and became homeless for one month in order to avoid the persecution. Chenzhou Cigarette Factory later fired her. Later on, Ms. Xu was arrested while distributing Falun Gong informational materials and was detained for 15 days. The day after she was released, the 610 Office ordered the detention center to arrest her again. They couldn’t find her and listed her as wanted.

On the afternoon of December 24, 2008, Ms. Xu went to the Suxian District Police Department to get a new identification card and was arrested. She was sentenced to forced labor after being detained for several months. She was taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City but the camp authorities refused to admit her. She was later released.

Ms. Xu took a train back to Chenzhou on June 11, 2011. As she did not have an identification card, the train attendant searched her and found a Falun Gong book and several Falun Gong informational pamphlets. She taken to the Chasha City Railway Police Bureau. Several days later, the police ransacked her home. Ms. Xu was intimidated and abused while held at the Detention Center of the Chasha City Railway Police Bureau. She started a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. The officers from the Chasha City Railway Police Bureau took her to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp but the camp authorities refused to admit her because she did not pass the physical exam. Ms. Xu was later released and was extremely emaciated and weak. Her hunger strike lasted for 45 days, until the day she was released. The Railway Bureau praised the train attendant as “highly alert” and rewarded him with 100,000 yuan (15,764 USD).

Ms. Xu died with her eyes still open. Her family, relatives and friends are in deep sorrow. What caused Ms. Xu’s death? Why did law enforcement act with total disregard for the lives of other people? We hope to bring the murderer to justice and not let this tragedy happen again.
