The Falun Gong exercise site in Campode Marte was established on July 14, 2000. Practitioners have been communicating with city administrators and the mayor, and have told them the true situation abut Falun Gong. A banner stating “Falun Dafa Free Teaching” has been hung at the exercise site permanently. It was the only permanent banner that was allowed in the park. The city mayors have changed, but the banner has been there the entire time.

About a month ago, the new mayor notified the park that no permanent banner would be allowed. Falun Gong practitioners went to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. A Western practitioner told the mayor how his health and family have benefited from practicing Falun Gong. He told the new mayor that the former mayor had promised to mark the Falun Gong exercise site on the map, but it wasn’t done because of an oversight. The new mayor looked at the pictures of Falun Gong activities in recent years with great interest. He proposed making a permanent sign to mark the Falun Gong exercise site and to add directions to the site on the park’s directional signs.

The inauguration was held on the afternoon of May 13. Falun Gong practitioners took a group picture under the sign and sent it along with their birthday wish to Master.
